  • Put 10 grams of rock salt with a liter of boiling water.
  • Put this solution into a neti pot.
  • Tilt the neck towards the sink and then point the neti solution nostril, to the right side of the nostril, while keeping the mouth open, then the water will automatically exit from the left side of the nostril.
  • Repeat the same steps for the left side of the nostril, which helps to get rid of impurities, phlegm and excess mucus.

How to clean the nose for children

When children have a stuffy nose and difficulty breathing, saline solution can be used to treat this problem, and it is preferable not to resort to decongestants, and researchers suggest that using saline solution for children from 6 to 10 years old, helps speed recovery from colds and flu.

This is done by lying on the child’s back and placing two to three drops into each nostril, then helping the child to empty his nose with a tissue, and in the case of young children when the mucus increases, means can be used to help suction the accumulated mucus.
