Ingredients and whipping cream
- We use 12 sheets of goulash leaves to make the wart dough.
- Half a cup of unsalted butter, melted.
- A quantity of whole milk about a cup and a half cup to prepare the cream filling.
- Half of the whipping cream to make the cream.
- An amount of sugar about 3 tablespoons to make the cream.
- 3 tablespoons of starch to make the filling.
- A teaspoon of rose water to make the cream filling.
- Two tablespoons of orange blossom water for filling.
- An amount of syrup is about a third of a cup or half a cup (ingredients of syrup: two cups of sugar – a cup of water – half a spoonful of lemon juice – two teaspoons of rose water or orange blossom water).
- Pistachio for decoration.
How to prepare Warbat with cream
- First, we start by making the syrup by putting the sugar, water and lemon juice in a saucepan on the stove.
- Leave the mixture on medium heat until it starts to boil.
- Once it boils, we lower the temperature.
- Leave the syrup on the fire for five minutes, then add rose water or orange blossom water to it, as desired, and let it cool.
- The oven is heated to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Prepare the filling cream by mixing the milk, cream, starch and sugar in a cold bowl.
- Mix the ingredients well until they are completely mixed.
- We put the pot on the stove over medium heat.
- We keep stirring the mixture on the stove until it thickens.
- We put rose water and orange blossom water at this stage.
- We remove the pot from the fire.
- Leave it to cool down a bit or put it in the fridge.
- Roll out a sheet of goulash and brush it to remove the flour from it.
- Grease the sheet with melted butter.
- We put another sheet of filo on top of the first one, clean it and grease it with butter, and we repeat the matter with all the filo sheets.
- Once finished, we divide the sheets into equal squares.
- We put a spoonful of cream filling on the square, and we close the square in the shape of a triangle.
- We form all the squares into triangles and place them on a baking tray lined with non-stick paper (parchment paper).
- We paint the face with melted butter.
- We enter the tray into the oven for about 25 minutes, or until the top is dark golden.
- We take the tray out of the oven and water it with syrup.
- We decorate it with pistachios or nuts as desired.
Warbat with cream and puff pastry
Although the wart dough consists mainly of goulash, it is possible to prepare warat with puff pastry in case the goulash is not available at home, here is the method.

- A box of puff pastry dough.
- A quantity of cream with the same ingredients that we prepared in the previous recipe.
- An amount of sugar syrup prepared with the same ingredients as sugar syrup.
- Pistachio for decoration.

- We prepare the syrup in the same way as the previous recipe, but vanilla can be added instead of rose water.
- Then the cream is prepared in the same way as the whipped cream.
- We level the puff pastry dough according to the instructions on the package.
- We water the ripe puff pastry dough with diameter while it is hot.
- Divide the puff pastry dough into two halves.
- Put a tablespoon of cream on one of the halves, then return the other half.
- We put another tablespoon of cream on the stick, decorate with pistachios, then serve it.
How to make warbat with healthy cream

Ingredients and healthy whipped cream
- We use the same ingredients as the Warbat with Cream recipe with goulash, but replace the regular goulash with 12 sheets of goulash made of brown flour.
- Half a cup of melted unsalted butter or margarine.
- A cup and a half of skim milk to prepare the cream filling.
- Low-fat whipping cream, about half a cup, to make the cream.
- 3 tablespoons of stevia sugar to make the cream.
- 3 tablespoons of starch to make the filling.
- One teaspoon of rose water and two teaspoons of orange blossom water to make the cream filling.
- Natural bee honey for sweetening instead of syrup.
How to prepare
- We prepare the recipe with the same steps as the original method.
- We replace the syrup with natural honey and water the warts with it instead of the syrup.
- Then it is decorated with nuts as desired.
